Me: While I share everyone else’s anxieties about the role of AI in devaluing labor, the prospect of AI art is admittedly fascinating. Machines are performing the functions we long considered the definitional quality of what makes us human. Granted, there are emotionless simulacra of art human beings have made, but one might consider it an agglomeration of countless works human beings have made on a particular subject. I see an opportunity to explore the collective biases therein, the concept of authorship, the limits of technology, and our anxieties on the very concept.
